Blue whales are marine mammals which belong to the suborder of Baleen whales. Blue whales are the largest animal that have ever lived on earth, even much larger than the largest dinosaur known. Blue whales grow up to 33 meters (105 feet) in length and 172 metric tonnes (190 short tons) in weight.
